Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Turlock, CA. The COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. This role involves assisting with treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities :
Assist in assessing patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
Implement individualized therapy plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist
Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' ability to perform daily activities
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Qualifications :
Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
California State COTA license (or eligibility to obtain)
Previous experience in a clinical, school, or rehabilitation setting is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
