As a School Psychologist,you will be an integral part of our educational support team, working directly with students, parents, and school staff to promote mental health, academic success, and positive behavior. You will assess, intervene, and consult with stakeholders to ensure the psychological and emotional well-being of all students in our district.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing social-emotional and behavioral issues.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement intervention plans and support services.
- Assist with the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and support when needed.
- Conduct staff training and workshops on various topics related to mental health and student well-being.
- Maintain detailed records and reports in compliance with district policies and state regulations.
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid Illinois School Psychologist License (or eligibility to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of professionals and families.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
