Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities for Pre-K students, adhering to state early learning standards
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment where all children can thrive
- Assess and track students' progress in key developmental areas, including language, cognitive, and social-emotional skills
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, fellow educators, and staff to provide individualized support for students as needed
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, behavior, and overall development
- Support and encourage positive social interactions and conflict resolution among students
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
- Participate in regular professional development and attend staff meetings as required
- Work closely with school leadership to ensure alignment with educational goals and curriculum objectives for Pre-K students
- State licensure with the correct endorsement for Early Childhood/Pre-K required
- Experience teaching Pre-K or early childhood education preferred
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and effective teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when interacting with young children and their families
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for supporting early learning
- Available to work for the duration of the temporary assignment, from February 3 to June 13
