About The Position
Soliant Education is seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team for the 2025 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position working with K-12 students across multiple schools in the Youngwood, PA area, providing specialized support for students with visual impairments.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7:30/8:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST (30-minute lunch breaks)
- 37.5 - 40 hours per week (flexible hours within the week)
- Mileage reimbursement for travel between schools
- No travel between multiple districts in one day
- Service a caseload of approximately 20 students (may fluctuate) across various grade levels (K-12).
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with visual impairments.
- Perform evaluations and write comprehensive IEPs (Individualized Education Programs).
- Track student progress and maintain detailed records.
- Collaborate with other school staff and parents to ensure educational goals are met.
- Required: Valid PA Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification
- Preferred: PA clearances
- Experience working with students with visual impairments is a plus.
