As a school-based PT, you will work closely with students, parents, and staff to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that promote physical development and mobility, enabling students to access and succeed in their educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to determine students physical therapy needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in collaboration with the IEP team.
- Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services in alignment with school goals.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Educate and support school staff and parents on strategies to enhance student mobility and participation.
- Maintain compliance with school, state, and federal guidelines.
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Georgia.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Competitive hourly rate of $50/hour.
