Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and support plans for students.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students experiencing academic or emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in the development of individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide training and resources to staff on mental health issues and effective strategies to support students.
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology and relevant mental health resources.
- Specialist degree (Ed.S.) or doctorate (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) in School Psychology.
- Valid Californialicense to practice as a school psychologist.
- Experience working in a school setting (preferred).
- Strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills.
