Soliant Health is looking for an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy to step into a leadership role at a hospital in Missouri . This is a travel position ideal for someone with recent inpatient pharmacy management experience. Location : Kansas City, MO
Start Date : ASAP
Duration : ~13 weeks
Schedule : Monday Friday, Day Shifts (8 AM 4 PM)
Key Responsibilities :
- Daily Operations : Oversee the day-to-day functions of the pharmacy as the working DOP / PIC , ensuring all workflows run smoothly and efficiently.
- Staffing & Management : Spend approximately 80% of the time handling staffing duties, including dispensing medications and supervising pharmacy staff. The remaining 20% will be focused on managerial tasks , overseeing operations, policies, and procedures.
- Medication Dispensing & Supervision : Dispense medications accurately and supervise the pharmacy team to ensure pliance with safety standards, proper use of medications, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborative Care : Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare providers to optimize patient care and ensure safe and effective medication therapies.
- Inventory & pliance : Oversee inventory management, ensure adherence to controlled substance regulations, and ensure pharmacy practices align with federal and state laws.
- Medication Safety : Ensure that medications are dispensed in a manner that promotes patient safety and minimizes the risk of medication errors.
