Interpreter for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students

Minimum 1 years intrepreter experience required.

Position: School Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)

Location: Illinois

Pay: $36-$38 per hour (negotiable)

Solaint is seeking a qualified and professional School Sign Language Interpreter to support students for the 2024-2025 school year in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Must have an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher or NIC certification
• Must hold a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) or be registered through ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education)
• Strong communication and interpreting skills
  
  

Important: Applicants who do not meet the certification requirements (EIPA/NIC and PEL/ISBE registration) will not be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation services in a school setting
• Support students academic and social needs through effective communication
• Collaborate with staff and participate in IEP meetings, as needed
  
  

This is a W2 contracted position for the full school year.
