Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Op Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel position in Plantation, Florida. This role involves preparing patients for surgical procedures, ensuring their safety, and providing top-quality preoperative care in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and prepare patients for surgery, including reviewing medical history, medications, and necessary pre-op instructions.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions before surgery.
• Collaborate with anesthesia teams, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient readiness.
• Provide patient education regarding post-operative care and expectations.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Florida or compact state).
• BLS & ACLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of Pre-Op or PACU nursing experience (travel experience preferred but not required).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and patient-care abilities.
