Job Description
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-service LSSP position with a focus on assessment over counseling, though some counseling may be included as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students in middle school (grades 6-8)
- Provide assessment services related to special education eligibility, academic performance, and behavioral concerns
- Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and parents to create support plans based on assessment findings
- Provide recommendations for interventions and accommodations to support student success
- Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide consultation and guidance on behavioral and academic issues
- Offer crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
- Masters degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid Texas LSSP License required
- Prior experience working with middle school students preferred
- Strong assessment skills and the ability to interpret test data
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families
- Ability to provide direct and indirect services in a school setting
- This is a contract position through Soliant Education for the 2024-2025 school year
- Full-time position with 40 hours/week
