Job Overview

Soliant Education is urgently hiring for two Special Education Teacher positions in Shippensburg, PA. These are full-time, in-person roles with immediate start dates. The selected candidates will be working with students in specialized classrooms: a Multiple Disabilities Support (MDS) Class and a Life Skills Class. These positions offer an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives by providing academic, social, and life skills development.

Job Responsibilities

• MDS Class: Provide specialized support in academic, behavioral, and social areas for students with multiple disabilities.
• Life Skills Class: Focus on teaching students essential life skills to promote independence and success in everyday activities.
• Implement and follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student, modifying lessons to meet their individual needs.
• Track and monitor student progress through data collection and regular assessments.
• Collaborate with school staff, specialists, and families to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  
  

Qualifications

• Active PA Instructional I or Instructional II Certification in Special Education.
• Previous experience in special education, especially in MDS or Life Skills classrooms.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
