- On site preferred.
- OT state licensure required
- High school caseload
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state license in Occupational Therapy (OT) or eligibility for licensure in the state of Louisiana
- Previous experience working as an occupational therapist in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of child development and school-based occupational therapy practices.
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and staff.
- Proficiency in using assistive technologies including AAC devices.
- Ability to maintain detailed records and documentation.
- Conduct thorough assessments of students fine motor skills, sensory processing abilities, daily living skills, and other functional areas.
- Use standardized tools and observational techniques to evaluate students strengths and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized therapy goals that align with students IEPs. Monitor and adjust goals as needed.
- Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to provide guidance on adapting classroom activities, materials, and environments to support students' needs.
- Provide regular reports to parents and school administrators.
