Job Description

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Special Education Teacher for a 20 hrs/week position at K-5 schools in Newington, CT. This position is a pull-out role for resource students, providing academic support to students with special educational needs.

In this role, you will work with students individually or in small groups, supporting their educational goals, and helping them reach their full potential. Some students may have paraprofessionals to implement Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs), but there will be no paraprofessional assigned directly to the classroom.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Special Education
• Connecticut Special Education Certification
• Experience with special education students in a K-5 setting is preferred
• Passion for working with students with diverse learning needs
