Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) for a 13-week contract in Montgomery, Alabama. In this role, you'll provide exceptional rehabilitation care to patients in a variety of units, including trauma, orthopedic, neuro, cardiac, post-op, ICU, and MedSurg. Your expertise will make a lasting impact on your patients' recovery journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapy programs tailored to patient needs.
- Provide rehabilitation care to patients across multiple units, including the ED.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the Cerner/Powerchart EMR system.
- Manage a caseload of 10-12 patients per therapist or approximately 15 units per day.
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required.
- MSPT or DPT required.
- Strong adaptability, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Willingness to float across different hospital units as needed.
- 3 days of department orientation.
- 1:1 support with a Rehab Aide during the initial 1-2 weeks for hands-on guidance.
- Collaborative team environment using a group messaging app for real-time assistance.
