Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Washington, DC. This role involves working with students to enhance their fine motor skills, sensory integration, and daily living skills through tailored therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving student outcomes and will have a genuine passion for their work.
Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations to assess students motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living capabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet student goals.
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to support student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure effective treatment strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions and progress.
- Attend and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to set goals and track student progress.
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid District of Columbia OT license and NBCOT certification.
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
