Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic School-Based Physical Therapist (PT) to join our educational team in Darien, CT. The ideal candidate will provide prehensive physical therapy services to students within the school setting, helping them to achieve their physical potential and enhance their overall academic and social performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Perform thorough evaluations of students' physical abilities, mobility, and needs to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Deliver direct physical therapy services to students with physical impairments, including exercises, manual therapy, and mobility training.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, school staff, and parents to integrate physical therapy goals into students' educational programs and support their participation in school activities.
- Program Development: Design and implement therapeutic programs tailored to each students specific needs, in line with their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, therapy sessions, and evaluations. Prepare and present reports as required.
- Consultation: Provide guidance and training to school staff on strategies to support students with physical needs and promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:
- Education: Doctorate or Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

- Skills: Excellent munication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.

Salary : $1,730 - $2,240
