Qualifications
- Education:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensure and Certification:
- Mississippi State License in Speech-Language Pathology (required).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (preferred).
- Mississippi Department of Education certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (required for school-based positions).
- Experience:
- Experience working in a school-based setting is preferred, but not required.
- Experience working with children or adolescents who have speech and language disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
