Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Belle Chasse, LA. This role is ideal for a licensed SLPA who is passionate about helping students develop effective munication skills. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to implement therapy plans and support students in their munication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in delivering therapy sessions, both individually and in small groups.
- Implement individualized treatment plans as outlined by the SLP.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the supervising SLP.
- Support the creation of munication materials and exercises tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student development in the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or related field.
- Current state licensure as an SLPA in Louisiana.
- Strong interpersonal and munication skills.
- Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
