School Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher

Minimum 1 years Deaf & Hard of Hearing Specialist experience required.

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and certified Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to join a self-contained program supporting students with hearing impairments. This is a W2 contracted position, offering an opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing by fostering their academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of DHH students.
• Provide direct instruction and support in a self-contained classroom setting.
• Utilize specialized teaching methods, including sign language, to support communication and learning.
• Collaborate with other educators, interpreters, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain regular communication with families and caregivers to support student success.
  
  

Qualifications

• Active teaching certification in Deaf Education (state-specific credentials may apply).
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication modalities for DHH students.
• Experience working in a self-contained DHH program is preferred.
• Strong commitment to supporting the academic and social development of students.
