As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students, collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure their success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional functioning.
- Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations to support students' educational and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions to address students' emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of intervention strategies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs to promote positive school climate and student well-being.
- Master's degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid North Carolina state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting (preferred).
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and counseling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
