This position involves conducting assessments, collaborating with educators and families, and providing valuable insights to support student success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for students across various age groups and educational levels.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop appropriate interventions and support plans.
- Provide counseling and guidance services to students as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of assessment results, progress notes, and other relevant data.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and make recommendations for ongoing support.
- Valid Kentucky School Psychologist Licensure.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and providing psychological services in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and writing comprehensive reports.
- Familiarity with special education laws and regulations.
- Willingness to travel between multiple school sites as needed.
- Experience working with students with special needs, including those with autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and best practices in school psychology.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
