Qualifications
Required Education and Licensure:
- A master's degree, educational specialist degree, or doctorate in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a state-approved school psychology certification program.
- Valid Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) School Psychologist Certification.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding special education (IDEA, Section 504, etc.).
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and developing IEPs.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of students, parents, and staff.
- Background checks and clearances, including:
- FBI Federal Criminal History Record
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a school setting.
- Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments: Administer psychological and educational evaluations to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional needs of students.
- Develop individualized plans: Collaborate with educators and families to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
- Provide interventions: Offer evidence-based counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support to students.
- Consult and collaborate: Work with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs and improve the learning environment.
- Monitor progress: Track and report student outcomes, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Participate in meetings: Serve as an integral member of the student support team, attending IEP, 504 Plan, and other relevant meetings.
- Promote equity and inclusion: Advocate for practices that ensure access to education for all students, regardless of background or abilities.
- Stay compliant: Ensure all work adheres to state and federal guidelines, including Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) regulations.
