About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic School Psychologist to join our team in Southbury, CT. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students in a collaborative and nurturing school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assessments to evaluate students' strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services.
• Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Provide individual and group counseling to address mental health and behavioral challenges.
• Work with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement intervention strategies.
• Support crisis prevention and response initiatives within the school.
• Promote a culture of wellness and mental health awareness.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education:
• Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology.
• Certification:
• Valid Connecticut certification as a School Psychologist.
• Experience:
• Prior experience in a school setting is a plus but not mandatory.
• Skills:
• Strong assessment and intervention planning abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for diverse student populations.
