Qualifications
- Valid Connecticut School Psychologist license
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Previous experience as a school psychologist preferred, new graduates welcome.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive school environment.
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address behavioral, emotional, and academic issues.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and recommend interventions.
- Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff regarding effective instructional strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Facilitate crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student evaluations, progress, and services provided.
