School Based Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Location : Near Rockland, MA
Start : ASAP
Job Type : Onsite, Full Time
Caseload : Elementary, Itinerant position
Position Overview : As an SLPA, you will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support the delivery of speech and language therapy services to students. Your role will involve assisting with assessments, implementing therapy plans, and providing individual and group therapy sessions under the guidance of an SLP. You will also collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to help students achieve their munication goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist SLPs in conducting assessments and screenings of students with speech and language disorders.
- Implement therapy plans and interventions as directed by the SLP.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
- Document and track student progress and provide regular updates to the supervising SLP.
- Assist with the development of educational materials and resources for therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support students munication needs in the classroom.
