What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (national certification preferred-RID or NIC Certification), EIPA of 4.0 or greater preferred
- Must have WA ESA certificate
- Experience working as a sign language interpreter in an educational setting preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a preschool setting preferred
- Provide sign language interpretation services for students in a school setting
- Assist in classroom instruction and activities by interpreting spoken language into sign language
- Support students in understanding and participating in classroom discussions and activities
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective communication
- Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with hearing impairments
- Other duties as assigned
