We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to join our team. This full-time position requires a professional who is passionate about supporting students and ensuring effective communication within educational settings.
Key Qualifications:
- EIPA Score: Minimum of 3.5.
- ASL Proficiency: Fully integrated in American Sign Language.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Certification: Valid Alabama Professional Certificate.
- Compliance: Must meet Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) federal and state requirements or demonstrate a willingness to fulfill these requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpretation services to support students in educational environments.
- Foster effective communication between students, educators, and peers.
- Collaborate with school staff to support student learning and development.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interpreting assignments.
