Job Description

Soliant Education is seeking an experienced and dedicated Educational Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to join our team in Cheney, NE. This is an onsite position, working directly with students to provide essential communication support in educational settings. The role will involve interpreting for students with hearing impairments in a variety of academic and extracurricular activities. The assignment is for the 24'25 school year, with a flexible caseload and potential for both part-time and full-time schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite sign language interpretation for students with hearing impairments in academic settings.
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff using sign language (ASL).
• Attend meetings, school functions, and extracurricular activities as needed.
• Ensure accurate and effective communication between all parties involved.
• Collaborate with other school professionals to support students' educational needs.
• Assist with classroom and instructional support as required.
  
  

Requirements

• Must have EIPA score of at least 4.0.
• Prior experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in an educational setting is preferred.
• Ability to work onsite in Arbor, NE.
• Flexibility to manage a variety of caseloads (part-time or full-time).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
