Posit ion Type : Full-Time
Caseload : Middle School; Resource room (push in / pull out)
Pay Range : $37-$47 / hr; depending onexperience
Key Responsibilities :
Assess and identify student needs through observation, testing, and collaboration with classroom teachers and parents.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Provide direct instructional support to students with disabilities in both one-on-one and small group settings.
Collaborate with general education teachers to differentiate instruction and adapt classroom environments to support diverse learners.
Support students in developing social, behavioral, and academic skills that promote independent functioning.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to update them on student progress and work collaboratively to set educational goals.
Participate in IEP meetings, case management, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, services, and other required records.
Stay informed of best practices in special education and educational technology, attending professional development opportunities as needed.
Foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive classroom environment that promotes equity and diversity.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred).
Valid Teaching License with an endorsement in Special Education.
Knowledge ofstate education laws, regulations, and IEP processes.
Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities, including but not limited to learning disabilities, autism, emotional and behavioral disorders, and intellectual disabilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with other educators, administrators, and families.
Passion for supporting students in achieving their fullest potential in a diverse and inclusive environment.
