Job Details
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
- Create lesson plans according to relevant local and state curriculum standards
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid WashingtonSpecial Education License required
- Experience with elementary resource caseloads preferred
- Experience with mild-moderate disabilities preferred
- Must be proficient in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) writing and lesson planning
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
