- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Masters degree in Special Education (preferred).
- Licensure and Certification:
- ValidVirginia Special Education Teaching Licensewith an endorsement inSpecial Education (K-12)or specific grade levels as required.
- Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) Certificationin Special Education (required).
- Criminal background checkandfingerprintingclearance as required by Virginia state law.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certification(preferred but not required).
- Experience:
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting is preferred, but not required.
