Special Education Teacher (SPED) - Plainfield, IL area

Minimum 1 years special education experience required.

Soliant Health is seeking a Special Education Teacher who is interested in working in a school setting in the Plainfield, Illinois area. In this role, the SPED will be providing services for school age students ranging from grades PreK-12. Please see job details below.

• 2024-25 School Year
• Full or Part Time, M-F
• Caseload/Classroom assigned based on teaching clearances
• An active Illinois Special Education Teaching license is required
  
  

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities We Are Looking For

• K-12thteaching experience and licensure.
• Understanding of Full IEP and how to interrupt evaluation recommendations in order to write educational plans.
• Ability to understand the academic Impact of the disability identified in the IEP
• Ability to build relationships with students, staff and parents.
• Ability to attend ARDs as needed and as assigned.
• IEP development experience including: Knowledge of Present Levels of Academic Performance and Functional performance writing goals and objectives
