Position Overview: Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and certified Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Schuyler, NE area for the 2024-2025 school year. This role involves providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. We wele applications from candidates with a pending license as well as those fully certified.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
- Provide direct instruction and support in specialized education settings.
- Adapt and modify curriculum to acmodate students diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to ensure educational goals are met.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and IEP documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational strategies and goals.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.
Requirements:
- Valid Special Education certification or equivalent.
- Certification in the relevant teaching area (pending licenses are also considered).
- Experience in teaching special education, preferably in an elementary or secondary school setting.
- Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs, adapting curriculum, and providing individualized instruction.
- Excellent munication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and educational professionals.
