What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher position at Soliant?
Must hold a valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License. This position focuses on working with students in a self-contained classroom, with some push-in and pull-out services, specifically in an Emotional Disturbance (ED) classroom. You will play a vital role in supporting the academic and emotional needs of students, helping them thrive in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
- Provide instruction in a self-contained setting with occasional push-in and pull-out support.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and families to support student progress.
- Use evidence-based practices to address the social, emotional, and academic needs of students.
- Monitor and assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License.
- Experience working with students with Emotional Disturbances is preferred.
- Strong classroom management and munication skills.
- Ability to adapt and individualize instruction to meet diverse needs.
