Qualifications
- Required Certifications:
- PreK-3rd Certification
- K-6 Elementary Education Certification
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Teacher of the Handicap Certification (a huge plus; allows for teaching any grade level)
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to diverse student needs.
- Experience working with students with a range of disabilities and learning challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Teach and support students in a PreK self-contained classroom.
- Provide instruction and support in Kindergarten inclusion, 1st inclusion, 2nd inclusion, and 3rd inclusion classrooms.
- Manage and teach in 2nd and 3rd self-contained classrooms.
- Teach in 5th grade inclusion classroom.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students specific needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for each student.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
