Key Responsibilities
- Perform speech and language evaluations to identify communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services for students, addressing speech, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure integrated support for students.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech-language needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and other related activities.
- Offer counseling and guidance to students to help them overcome speech-related challenges.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and progress updates.
- Provide staff training on speech-language development and intervention strategies.
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in Alabama (AL).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and multidisciplinary teams.
