We are seeking a licensed Speech Therapist Assistant to join our team at a school district in Canton, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years of experience in speech therapy and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to diagnose communication disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and assessments
- Provide speech and language therapy to students in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and parents, to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, assessments, and therapy sessions
- Attend meetings and provide reports on student progress
Requirements:
- A valid State SLPA License is required
- Active Teaching certification (if required in your state)
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
- Prior school-based experience preferred, but not mandatory
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
