Position : Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher
Location : Macon Georgia
Employment Type : Full-Time
Hours : 37.5 hours per week (possibly up to 40)
Job Details :
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to join our team for the 2024 / 2025 school year. This full-time position involves working with a K-12 itinerant caseload, serving as the sole DHH teacher in the school district (with the potential for a second hire closer to August / September). Currently, there are 24 DHH students on the caseload. The homebase or office setting for our teacher will be located at the district office. This position requires onsite presence only.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide specialized instruction and support to DHH students across K-12 grades.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external professionals to support student needs.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and services provided.
