Job Details
- Provide specialized instruction to visually impaired students in grades K-12 (this is an itinerant, district-wide position).
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of students with visual impairments
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and technologies to enhance student learning.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students' academic and social success.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' skills and progress.
- Master's degree in education, with a specialization in visual impairments or blindness.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in Washington (Open to candidates with pending license)
- Experience working with visually impaired students preferred
- Experience with Braille preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
