Key Responsibilities
- Order Verification: Reviewing medication orders for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness.
- Supervision of Technicians: Overseeing the work of pharmacy technicians and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.
- Consultation: Collaborating with physicians and nurses to provide expert guidance on medication therapy.
- Pharmacokinetic Dosing & Therapeutic Monitoring: Assisting in the appropriate dosing and monitoring of medications to optimize patient outcomes.
- Pharmacist License: Active IL Pharmacist license.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience. ED/ICU experience highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Cerner and Pyxis systems.
