Job Description:
VocoVision is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide remote instruction and support to students across Pennsylvania. As a VocoVision contractor, youll have the opportunity to work from home while delivering high-quality services to students with visual impairments through an advanced teletherapy platform.
Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual instruction and support to students with visual impairments, ensuring access to the general education curriculum.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and parents to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Adapt instructional materials and resources to meet the needs of visually impaired students.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' educational needs and progress.
- Utilize assistive technology and digital tools to enhance accessibility and engagement in the online learning environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student progress and goal setting.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines.
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Education for the Visually Impaired or related field.
- Certification: Must hold a valid Pennsylvania TVI certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in teaching visually impaired students (virtual experience preferred but not required).
- Technical Skills: Comfortable using digital platforms, virtual learning tools, and assistive technology.
- Other Requirements: Must pass a technical screening and provide professional liability insurance.
