We seek applicants who have appropriate clinical knowledge of speech therapy in an education setting and experience with the IEP process. Additionally, candidates need to have excellent writing and communication skills, for the purposes of recording and reporting on student's current abilities and their long-term goals. - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
- Delaware SLP license, (this process can take a while)
- 2 years of experience in school settings preferred
- Evaluating and treating children whose communication issues (in areas such as language, articulation, fluency) impact their educational performance
- Reporting on student progress and/or developing goals as part of their Individual Education Plan
- Proposing amendments to IEPs if needed, or recommending that students be released from speech services when they meet their communication goals
- Participating in the MTSS or RTI process (Multi-tiered systems of support, or Response to Intervention) if needed
- Consulting with District staff and parents about student goals and progress
