Job Title: Handyman / Property Management Maintenance

Location: Mid-Ohio Valley (Parkersburg, WV to Marietta, OH Area)

Pay:

• Hourly Rate: $20/hour (paid weekly)
• Salary: $4,000/month (paid twice a month)

About the Position:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Handyman/Property Maintenance Professional to join our team as an independent contractor. This position involves performing maintenance, repairs, and occasional remodeling work on rental properties in the Mid-Ohio Valley area. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, versatile construction skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality results efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, and basic carpentry.
• Handle tasks in construction fields such as framing, installing windows, flooring, tiling, and roofing.
• Conduct repairs and upgrades in rental units between tenants, ranging from partial fixes to full remodels.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in properties, providing efficient and effective solutions.
• Collaborate with property managers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment on job sites.
• Occasionally assist with full house remodels.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a handyman or in construction/maintenance fields.
• Proficiency in multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general construction.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Own basic tools (a tool budget and additional tools will be provided as needed).

Additional Details:

• Flexible schedule: This position can be structured as part-time, full-time, or salary, depending on your availability and preference.
• Work is primarily based in the Mid-Ohio Valley, covering areas from Parkersburg, WV to Marietta, OH.
• Independent Contractor Role: This is not an employee position. You will be responsible for managing your own tax obligations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial properties.

• Address plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks as needed.
• Respond promptly to service requests and complete work in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding project status and any necessary follow-up actions.

Experience

• Previous experience in maintenance or maintenance person services is preferred.
• Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, plumbing systems, carpentry, and general repair work.
• Experience using an ohmmeter is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
