Position Summary

Solid Biosciences is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Manager to join our Patient Advocacy team. Reporting to the Head of Patient Advocacy, this role will focus on fostering meaningful relationships with patient communities, advocacy group partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure the patient voice is at the center of our efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in rare disease advocacy within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry and a deep understanding of patient-focused drug development.

The Senior Manager will lead key initiatives to support neuromuscular and cardiac patient communities, manage collaborations with patient advocacy group partners in the U.S. and internationally, oversee grants and sponsorships, and drive community engagement. This individual will also play a vital role in ensuring the patient perspective is incorporated across the entire drug development lifecycle, working to improve outcomes and quality of life for patients and their families. As Solid Biosciences continues to grow and advance our clinical and pre-clinical programs, this role will be critical to supporting our expanding business and new patient communities while maintaining our gold-standard approach to patient-focused drug development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with our neuromuscular and cardiac patient advocacy group partners in the U.S. and internationally.
  • Serve as a liaison between Solid Biosciences and patient advocacy organizations, fostering transparency and trust.
  • Oversee the sponsorships and grants management, ensuring funding opportunities align with company priorities and community needs.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to engage, educate and support our patient communities through community letters, webinars, educational programming and additional resources.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support the execution of patient-focused conferences and events, including on-site representation.
  • Lead the development of resources that support patients and families throughout their journey.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure patient perspectives are incorporated across the entire spectrum of the drug development lifecycle.
  • Manage condition-specific patient advisory councils to inform our development at every stage.
  • Serve as an internal advocate for patients, educating and aligning teams across the organization to prioritize patients’ needs.
  • Organize and execute disease awareness days and company Lunch and Learns with our patient communities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years of experience in rare disease patient advocacy within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with patient advocacy organizations and community partners.
  • Experience managing grants, sponsorships, and community programs.
  • Strong understanding of patient-focused drug development principles and initiatives.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and event planning skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Ability to travel for conferences, community meetings, and events – both within the United States and Internationally.

Salary : $190,000 - $200,000
