Job Description
- Cleaning up work areas, removing debris, setting up scaffolding, preparing job sites for construction activities.
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks, transporting materials around the site, mixing concrete or other substances.
- Digging trenches, assisting with demolition projects, removing rubble.
- Supporting electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and other tradespeople with various tasks.
- Operating basic construction equipment like wheelbarrows, power tools, and small machinery as needed.
- Adhering to all safety regulations, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting any hazards.
Skills and qualifications
- Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with shovels, rakes, brooms, hammers, and other common hand tools.
- Understanding and following directions from supervisors and project plans.
- Working effectively with other laborers and skilled workers on a team.
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks and adapt to changing work condition
