What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Center Technician position at SOLID Personnel?
We are looking for Network Technicians to assist with the installation and setup of network devices, storage, and compute equipment in data centers. You’ll work in teams of two with backup technicians, ensuring smooth operations and timely deployment of equipment.
3 Month Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure network devices, servers, firewalls, storage, and appliances.
- Support logistics, including shipping, receiving, unpacking, and moving equipment.
- Assist with cabling tasks, including rack interconnections and patch cord installations (copper and fiber).
- Provide technical support to Honeywell’s engineering team during configuration and troubleshooting.
- Perform ad-hoc support for data center operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience with data center equipment, including switches, servers, and storage appliances.
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling and installation (copper and fiber).
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow design specifications precisely.
- Prior experience in data center operations or similar technical environments is a plus.
