General Maintenance Estimator

Job Summary
The General Maintenance position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including repairs, installations, and inspections. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction management and project management, with a strong ability to negotiate contracts and manage resources effectively.

Duties

• Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and other facility components.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors to negotiate contracts for specialized maintenance services.
• Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for project management and construction estimating tasks.
• Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction site practices and safety protocols.
• Proficient in project management techniques with a focus on construction management.
• Experience in negotiating contracts and pricing for maintenance services.
• Familiarity with construction estimating software such as HeavyBid is a plus.
• Ability to build effective relationships with contractors, vendors, and team members.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all maintenance activities.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $71,760.00 - $90,000.00 per year
