Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced BIM Modeler specializing in load-bearing cold-formed metal framing systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with both Revit and Framecad software platforms, along with a strong understanding of structural engineering principles and drawings.
We're seeking an experienced BIM Modeler specializing in load-bearing cold-formed metal framing systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with both Revit and Framecad software platforms, along with a strong understanding of structural engineering principles and drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 3D models using Revit and Framecad for load-bearing metal framing projects
- Develop shop drawings and fabrication documentation
- Coordinate with structural engineers and project teams
- Review and interpret structural engineering drawings
- Generate accurate material lists and production files
- Perform clash detection and coordinate with other trades
- Create panel layout and assembly drawings
- Maintain BIM standards and best practices
- Support production planning through accurate modeling
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure constructability
Required Qualifications
- 3 years experience in BIM modeling for cold-formed metal framing
- Proficiency in Revit and Framecad Detailer/Structure software
- Strong understanding of load-bearing metal framing systems
- Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings
- Experience with prefabrication and panelization
- Knowledge of construction sequencing and methodologies
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with additional modeling software (AutoCAD, Tekla, etc.)
- Background in structural engineering or construction
- Understanding of building codes and standards
- Previous experience in construction or manufacturing environment
