Sales Estimator Job Description:
Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC has partnered with a Doors, Frames, and Hardware contractor for an exciting opportunity. Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team in Pompano Beach, FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting construction plans and specifications, preparing cost estimates using Bluebeam, and selling the project before passing it on to a Project Manager to complete.
Before applying, please note that you must have experience in the division 8 subtrade and have proven ability to estimate doors, frames, and hardware projects up to $6MM
Sales Estimator Responsibilities:
- Analyze construction plans and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that estimates are accurate and complete.
- Review project proposals and plans to ensure that all necessary information is included. Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates and other project-related documents.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
- Track project costs and progress, and provide regular updates to project managers. -
- Attend project meetings and provide input on cost-related issues.
Sales Estimator Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating division 8 (doors, frames, and hardware) construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Bluebeam estimating software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be willing to travel to project sites as needed.
