Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Division 8 Project Manager with at least 3 years of experience in the Doors, Frames, and Hardware industry. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage all aspects of Division 8 projects, from project initiation to completion. This individual will be responsible for coordinating project timelines, resources, and budgets while ensuring that projects meet quality standards, client expectations, and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Manage and coordinate Division 8 projects, including doors, frames, and hardware, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare and review project estimates, ensuring alignment with client budgets and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure deadlines are met.
Quality Control: Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and specifications.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues and provide solutions.
Subcontractor Coordination: Oversee subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with the project specifications, timelines, and safety protocols.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and other project-related records.
Risk Management: Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and increase project efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Doors, Frames, and Hardware industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend), MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and experience with estimating tools.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of Division 8 products, materials, and industry standards.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address issues promptly and effectively.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Certifications (Preferred): PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certifications.
